Narrative:

En route between atl and las, crew noticed a fuel imbal between left and right tanks. Fuel was balanced by xfeeding. Because the situation recurred, a fuel leak was suspected but was not confirmable because engine fuel flows were equal and no fuel was visibly leaking from engine or wing. The flight arrived at destination with adequate fuel, and maintenance then confirmed a fuel leak in the engine prior to the fuel flow transmitter.
