Narrative:

Upon landing rollout following expressway visual runway 31 we were instructed by tower to exit taxiway south turn right on taxiway B hold short of taxiway right. Aircraft 1 mi on final, advise if unable to comply. Company is aware of the occurrence of these complex rollout instructions and has made our awareness of them and dangers associated with attempting to read back and comply during a critical phase of flight. Hopefully ATC will raise their awareness that issuing these instructions while seeming to improve efficiency can contribute to the possibility of a ground incident. Certainly in our case, we read the instructions back and complied, but later debriefed ourselves and concluded it made for a task saturated cockpit.
