Narrative:

We were taxiing to runway 27R and told to hold short of runway 32R. We were in a long line of aircraft and when ground told the aircraft ahead of us to cross runway 32R, I followed it across. My first officer questioned me if we were cleared to cross at which point I remembered that we had originally been told to hold short. Runway 32R was not being used for takeoffs or lndgs so there was no conflict and ground never questioned us about crossing. Although not an excuse, it had been a long duty day in less than perfect WX. Being tired, I simply just started following the aircraft ahead of me and forgot the hold short clearance. This brought home the point of having to make an extra effort to not relax and take things for granted at the end of the trip when one may be not at one's peak performance.

Title: BAE146 FLC TAXIES ACROSS RWY WITHOUT CLRNC WHEN ACFT THEY ARE FOLLOWING IS CLRED ACROSS.

Narrative: WE WERE TAXIING TO RWY 27R AND TOLD TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 32R. WE WERE IN A LONG LINE OF ACFT AND WHEN GND TOLD THE ACFT AHEAD OF US TO CROSS RWY 32R, I FOLLOWED IT ACROSS. MY FO QUESTIONED ME IF WE WERE CLRED TO CROSS AT WHICH POINT I REMEMBERED THAT WE HAD ORIGINALLY BEEN TOLD TO HOLD SHORT. RWY 32R WAS NOT BEING USED FOR TKOFS OR LNDGS SO THERE WAS NO CONFLICT AND GND NEVER QUESTIONED US ABOUT XING. ALTHOUGH NOT AN EXCUSE, IT HAD BEEN A LONG DUTY DAY IN LESS THAN PERFECT WX. BEING TIRED, I SIMPLY JUST STARTED FOLLOWING THE ACFT AHEAD OF ME AND FORGOT THE HOLD SHORT CLRNC. THIS BROUGHT HOME THE POINT OF HAVING TO MAKE AN EXTRA EFFORT TO NOT RELAX AND TAKE THINGS FOR GRANTED AT THE END OF THE TRIP WHEN ONE MAY BE NOT AT ONE'S PEAK PERFORMANCE.
