Narrative:

We were holding at south boston VOR on the arrival to rdu for thunderstorms. We held for 30 mins and had to change our alternate (ric), because of the same WX, to gso. During our last circuit in the hold, at 170 KTS, flaps 12 degrees, we were told rdu was accepting landing traffic since the WX had cleared. We were given a descent and direct to the next fix on the arrival. During checklist work and radio duties, we left flaps at 12 degrees and got an overspd warning. Crew distraction during very busy time.
