Narrative:

I departed lou for tys VFR. Ceiling had been overcast most of day. By XA30-XB30, sky was broken with sunshine all around. I flew southeast below the class C airspace at 1500 ft till 8 or 10 mi clear of the class C and began a climb to VFR on top. I leveled at 3500 ft or so till I came to a clearing very large to climb up (tops 5000 ft clear above). On reaching the tops, I met air carrier crossing at, I think 6000 ft. I was at 5200 ft going to 5500 ft. I leveled and we passed, he was above and to the left of me. The plane was so large and fast, it appeared closer than he was.
