Narrative:

Parking aircraft at gate. Maintenance vehicle drove right in front of #1 engine. This occurred as aircraft was within 1-2 ft of the parking position for the jetbridge. Vehicle was not around gate when we approached. Witness saw vehicle drive into conflicting position as aircraft stopped. #1 engine contacted vehicle. Minor damage to engine cowl.

Narrative: PARKING ACFT AT GATE. MAINT VEHICLE DROVE RIGHT IN FRONT OF #1 ENG. THIS OCCURRED AS ACFT WAS WITHIN 1-2 FT OF THE PARKING POS FOR THE JETBRIDGE.
