Narrative:

Aircraft was re-weighed prior evening and new weight was shown on documents in the. New weight was not communicated to dispatch. As a result, release showed old aircraft weight. Load manifest was prepared with old weight as we did not check release aircraft weight with weight shown in the cane. Error was caught later in the day and corrected. New aircraft weight was about 150 pounds higher than old weight. Takeoff was well below new weight so aircraft was never operated over gross or out of center of gravity. Lesson: check release aircraft weight against aircraft weight shown on cane. An error was made, but we didn't catch it initially.
