Narrative:

We were starting to taxi at phx from the cargo ramp to the runway. On the start of the taxi, the ground controller asked us if we could make an intersection takeoff. I started to look it up and he came back and said 'disregard.' then he said 'cross runway 25L for runway 25R.' what we heard was 'cross runway 25L and runway 25R.' that's how we read it back. He didn't correct us, so we crossed runway 25L&right. We looked to the left and right and crossed both runways. The ground controller came back and said that we were not cleared to cross runway 25R. We stopped the aircraft and called the tower on a cell phone. The supervisor said that she would listen to the tape. We flew to ont and called back to phx tower, talked to the supervisor. She said that the ground controller didn't use the correct phraseology and should have said 'cross runway 25L, taxi taxiway F to runway 25R.' she said that there was no other traffic in the area, so 'let's all learn from this and be careful.'

Title: AN FGT CREW, TAXIING FOR TKOF AT PHX, MISINTERPED THEIR CLRNC AND TAXIED ACROSS BOTH PARALLEL RWYS INSTEAD OF JUST ONE.

Narrative: WE WERE STARTING TO TAXI AT PHX FROM THE CARGO RAMP TO THE RWY. ON THE START OF THE TAXI, THE GND CTLR ASKED US IF WE COULD MAKE AN INTXN TKOF. I STARTED TO LOOK IT UP AND HE CAME BACK AND SAID 'DISREGARD.' THEN HE SAID 'CROSS RWY 25L FOR RWY 25R.' WHAT WE HEARD WAS 'CROSS RWY 25L AND RWY 25R.' THAT'S HOW WE READ IT BACK. HE DIDN'T CORRECT US, SO WE CROSSED RWY 25L&R. WE LOOKED TO THE L AND R AND CROSSED BOTH RWYS. THE GND CTLR CAME BACK AND SAID THAT WE WERE NOT CLRED TO CROSS RWY 25R. WE STOPPED THE ACFT AND CALLED THE TWR ON A CELL PHONE. THE SUPVR SAID THAT SHE WOULD LISTEN TO THE TAPE. WE FLEW TO ONT AND CALLED BACK TO PHX TWR, TALKED TO THE SUPVR. SHE SAID THAT THE GND CTLR DIDN'T USE THE CORRECT PHRASEOLOGY AND SHOULD HAVE SAID 'CROSS RWY 25L, TAXI TXWY F TO RWY 25R.' SHE SAID THAT THERE WAS NO OTHER TFC IN THE AREA, SO 'LET'S ALL LEARN FROM THIS AND BE CAREFUL.'
