Narrative:

We were cleared for the visual approach 9L. Inside lawnn tower cleared a heavy airbus for takeoff runway 12. I told the first officer to expect a wake turbulence from the departing aircraft and began to increase my vref 3 knots and that I would land a little long. We briefed and were expecting the jet blast. At 150 ft AGL over the approach lights my right wing dropped 20 degrees followed by a 25 degree roll to the left and a pitch down below my comfort level. I called for GA thrust and we were vectored back to runway 9L. Inside lawnn I noticed strobe lights on runway 12 and I told the tower that if they were going to clear another jet for T.O. On runway 12 I would have to go around again. The tower controller told me not to worry because the departing aircraft was not a heavy airbus, just a B757. A different voice came over the frequency and told the B757 on runway 12 to 'cancel takeoff clearance.'

Title: LOSS OF ACFT CTL AND SUBSEQUENT GAR PERFORMED AFTER THE FLC OF AN ARR B-757-F ON RWY 09L SUFFERS A JET BLAST ENCOUNTER GENERATED BY A DEP HEAVY AIRBUS ON RWY 12 AT MIA, FL.

Narrative: WE WERE CLRED FOR THE VISUAL APCH 9L. INSIDE LAWNN TWR CLRED A HEAVY AIRBUS FOR TKOF RWY 12. I TOLD THE FO TO EXPECT A WAKE TURBULENCE FROM THE DEPARTING ACFT AND BEGAN TO INCREASE MY VREF 3 KNOTS AND THAT I WOULD LAND A LITTLE LONG. WE BRIEFED AND WERE EXPECTING THE JET BLAST. AT 150 FT AGL OVER THE APCH LIGHTS MY RIGHT WING DROPPED 20 DEGS FOLLOWED BY A 25 DEG ROLL TO THE L AND A PITCH DOWN BELOW MY COMFORT LEVEL. I CALLED FOR GA THRUST AND WE WERE VECTORED BACK TO RWY 9L. INSIDE LAWNN I NOTICED STROBE LIGHTS ON RWY 12 AND I TOLD THE TWR THAT IF THEY WERE GOING TO CLR ANOTHER JET FOR T.O. ON RWY 12 I WOULD HAVE TO GO AROUND AGAIN. THE TWR CTLR TOLD ME NOT TO WORRY BECAUSE THE DEPARTING ACFT WAS NOT A HEAVY AIRBUS, JUST A B757. A DIFFERENT VOICE CAME OVER THE FREQ AND TOLD THE B757 ON RWY 12 TO 'CANCEL TKOF CLRNC.'
