Narrative:

While on the ILS runway 26L, inside the outer marker, tower put an rj into position and hold. We (aircraft X) had broken out of the clouds and could see the runway clearly. Grr tower gave take off clearance to the rj when we were approximately 2 miles from touchdown. I continued the approach to 100 ft. The rj was starting it's rotation, but tower called for a go around. I initiated the go around procedures and off set to the left side of the runway to keep the rj insight, flying parallel to runway 26L on runway heading. Tower then gave the rj a left turn, which in our estimate would cross in front of us fairly close. (Rather than turning our aircraft and opening our distance while the departure rj continued straight ahead). I turned to the right approximately 10-15 degrees to ensure separation. We had told tower not to turn the rj to the left, but he said he wanted us on runway heading and was turning the rj, but we had off set, so his turn was actually going to bring him closer to our flight path. If we hadn't off set, our closure rate could have brought him dangerously close from his climbout beneath us. We continued our climb to 3000 ft and switched to approach control. We continued back to another approach and uneventful landing. The entire incident was in VMC conditions. The ceiling was at approximately 2500 ft MSL.

Title: GRR TWR CTLR CLRED ANOTHER ACFT FOR TKOF WHEN THE RPTR IN A DC9 WAS ON A 2 MILE FINAL AND SUBSEQUENTLY, INSTRUCTED THE DC9 TO GAR JUST PRIOR TO TOUCH DOWN WHEN THE OTHER ACFT WAS LIFTING OFF. THE CTLR THE CLRED THE OTHER ACFT TO TURN IN FRONT OF THEM CAUSING ANOTHER CONFLICT SINCE THE DC9 HAD SIDE STEPPED TO THE L TO PREVENT OVER TAKING THE OTHER ACFT ON INITIAL CLIMB.

Narrative: WHILE ON THE ILS RWY 26L, INSIDE THE OUTER MARKER, TWR PUT AN RJ INTO POSITION AND HOLD. WE (ACFT X) HAD BROKEN OUT OF THE CLOUDS AND COULD SEE THE RWY CLEARLY. GRR TWR GAVE TAKE OFF CLRNC TO THE RJ WHEN WE WERE APPROX 2 MILES FROM TOUCHDOWN. I CONTINUED THE APCH TO 100 FT. THE RJ WAS STARTING IT'S ROTATION, BUT TWR CALLED FOR A GAR. I INITIATED THE GAR PROCS AND OFF SET TO THE L SIDE OF THE RWY TO KEEP THE RJ INSIGHT, FLYING PARALLEL TO RWY 26L ON RWY HEADING. TWR THEN GAVE THE RJ A L TURN, WHICH IN OUR ESTIMATE WOULD CROSS IN FRONT OF US FAIRLY CLOSE. (RATHER THAN TURNING OUR ACFT AND OPENING OUR DISTANCE WHILE THE DEP RJ CONTINUED STRAIGHT AHEAD). I TURNED TO THE R APPROX 10-15 DEGS TO ENSURE SEPARATION. WE HAD TOLD TWR NOT TO TURN THE RJ TO THE L, BUT HE SAID HE WANTED US ON RWY HEADING AND WAS TURNING THE RJ, BUT WE HAD OFF SET, SO HIS TURN WAS ACTUALLY GOING TO BRING HIM CLOSER TO OUR FLT PATH. IF WE HADN'T OFF SET, OUR CLOSURE RATE COULD HAVE BROUGHT HIM DANGEROUSLY CLOSE FROM HIS CLIMBOUT BENEATH US. WE CONTINUED OUR CLIMB TO 3000 FT AND SWITCHED TO APCH CTL. WE CONTINUED BACK TO ANOTHER APCH AND UNEVENTFUL LNDG. THE ENTIRE INCIDENT WAS IN VMC CONDITIONS. THE CEILING WAS AT APPROX 2500 FT MSL.
