Narrative:

While taxiing for departure, I was cleared to taxi but was told to hold short of runway 25 on taxiway C. I repeated the clearance but misunderstood the location of the hold short instruction. Additionally, the crew was running a taxi checklist which divided our attention. We failed to stop prior to crossing the hold short point, which was located at end of the runway. At the time of crossing, the landing aircraft had begun to exit the runway approximately 2500 ft away. The incursion was caused by my failure to verify the exact location of the hold short point and the crew's divided attention during taxiing. Steps to prevent further incursions will be: 1) the verification of the hold short point prior to taxi, and 2) the running of checklist items only by a single crew member during taxi.

Title: AN LJ35 CREW, WHILE TAXIING FOR TKOF AT LUK, TAXIED PAST A HOLD SHORT LINE.

Narrative: WHILE TAXIING FOR DEP, I WAS CLRED TO TAXI BUT WAS TOLD TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 25 ON TXWY C. I REPEATED THE CLRNC BUT MISUNDERSTOOD THE LOCATION OF THE HOLD SHORT INSTRUCTION. ADDITIONALLY, THE CREW WAS RUNNING A TAXI CHKLIST WHICH DIVIDED OUR ATTN. WE FAILED TO STOP PRIOR TO XING THE HOLD SHORT POINT, WHICH WAS LOCATED AT END OF THE RWY. AT THE TIME OF XING, THE LNDG ACFT HAD BEGUN TO EXIT THE RWY APPROX 2500 FT AWAY. THE INCURSION WAS CAUSED BY MY FAILURE TO VERIFY THE EXACT LOCATION OF THE HOLD SHORT POINT AND THE CREW'S DIVIDED ATTN DURING TAXIING. STEPS TO PREVENT FURTHER INCURSIONS WILL BE: 1) THE VERIFICATION OF THE HOLD SHORT POINT PRIOR TO TAXI, AND 2) THE RUNNING OF CHKLIST ITEMS ONLY BY A SINGLE CREW MEMBER DURING TAXI.
