Narrative:

On a non-er aircraft flying A-300 between sju and phl. There is a point equal distant between sju and bda of 440 NM or about 56 mins divert time to either bda or sju. Without an er aircraft your expected battery life with complete electrical failure is estimated to be 30 mins. That would put you in an electrically dead aircraft for at least 25 mins flying. Is this a good idea? If the WX was not clear at bda or sju, I am sure you could successfully land. Food for thought.
