Narrative:

Climbing out of rsw, we encountered some continuous turbulence. We asked the controller for a cut of course, away from WX. The controller told us that center needed us over lal. We had asked for direct szw. When our request was denied, we asked for a 20 degree left vector around WX. After a pause, the controller granted our request then made a sarcastic comment about our trying to get around the system, and gave us an altitude hold-down. I replied to the hold-down. After the transmission, I spoke to my copilot about the situation, and in the conversation used the word 'xyz#?' to describe the events taking place. In talking to him, I noticed that the feedback to my ear piece did not sound right. I then discovered that my yoke transmit switch had stuck. I flicked the switch and we came back to a receive mode. At this time the controller informed us that we had a stuck microphone and had transmitted an improper word over the air. She was not happy. We wrote up the switch problem in the aircraft discrepancy book upon landing in atl.
