Narrative:

On initial descent, we were told to fly a new arrival into laguardia, the korry one STAR. Everything was fine until I descended to 12800 ft and we realized that we needed to stay at 13000 ft for 2 more mi. I had not seen that restr on the chart. I immediately corrected that mistake, and there were no resulting problems. However, I was till upset with myself and did not catch myself slowing to 250 KTS until 9000 ft. I also corrected this problem immediately. The safety of the flight was never jeopardized, and nothing was ever said. I am reporting this primarily because the korry one arrival is brand new and provides no VNAV information in textual form. The only print is shown next to the charted pathway. That print is very congested, the altitudes and airspds do not stand out at all, and several of the stepdowns are hard to meet. The previous minks arrival was much more clear. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter advised he had just transitioned from turboprops into jets with 'glass.' he also forgot to put 'stepdown' fixes into the FMS. Since the event, the reporter advised that he has become 'most proficient' with the new system.

Title: C145 CAPT OVERSHOOTS NEW STAR INTO LGA. RPTR BELIEVES THAT STAR NEEDS VNAV INFO THAT IS NOT PRESENTLY PRINTED.

Narrative: ON INITIAL DSCNT, WE WERE TOLD TO FLY A NEW ARR INTO LAGUARDIA, THE KORRY ONE STAR. EVERYTHING WAS FINE UNTIL I DSNDED TO 12800 FT AND WE REALIZED THAT WE NEEDED TO STAY AT 13000 FT FOR 2 MORE MI. I HAD NOT SEEN THAT RESTR ON THE CHART. I IMMEDIATELY CORRECTED THAT MISTAKE, AND THERE WERE NO RESULTING PROBS. HOWEVER, I WAS TILL UPSET WITH MYSELF AND DID NOT CATCH MYSELF SLOWING TO 250 KTS UNTIL 9000 FT. I ALSO CORRECTED THIS PROB IMMEDIATELY. THE SAFETY OF THE FLT WAS NEVER JEOPARDIZED, AND NOTHING WAS EVER SAID. I AM RPTING THIS PRIMARILY BECAUSE THE KORRY ONE ARR IS BRAND NEW AND PROVIDES NO VNAV INFO IN TEXTUAL FORM. THE ONLY PRINT IS SHOWN NEXT TO THE CHARTED PATHWAY. THAT PRINT IS VERY CONGESTED, THE ALTS AND AIRSPDS DO NOT STAND OUT AT ALL, AND SEVERAL OF THE STEPDOWNS ARE HARD TO MEET. THE PREVIOUS MINKS ARR WAS MUCH MORE CLR. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR ADVISED HE HAD JUST TRANSITIONED FROM TURBOPROPS INTO JETS WITH 'GLASS.' HE ALSO FORGOT TO PUT 'STEPDOWN' FIXES INTO THE FMS. SINCE THE EVENT, THE RPTR ADVISED THAT HE HAS BECOME 'MOST PROFICIENT' WITH THE NEW SYS.
