Narrative:

On taxi out at bos, I missed a turn and came into conflict with an air carrier dc-10. We both came to a stop and I realized my mistake. There was never any danger of hitting each other. I was given other taxi instructions by ground and went on my way. Human factors: during taxi out the first officer is frequently out of the loop getting load data and takeoff performances. Both sets of eyes are needed during taxi. After event of 09/tue/01 it has been harder to focus and concentrate. First officer's have told me this also. We now more than ever force ourselves to be mindful of the task at hand.
