Narrative:

After pushing off of gate and starting #2 engine, the #2 flight attendant called on interphone and reported smoke in the cabin but said it had no odor. The first officer opened the door and confirmed there was smoke but that he could see the back of the plane and it did not smell like jet fuel or electric. I elected to return to the gate and deplane the aircraft. The passenger got off the plane in an orderly manner and maintenance was called and the plane was taken OTS.
