Narrative:

Runway incursion. Neither pilot nor copilot were familiar with field (first time for captain). Was cleared to taxi to hold short of runway 33. From our position on the ramp, the hold short line was only about 150 ft straight ahead of airplane. This event occurred at about XA15 in the morning. Immediately before the event, crew received an unplanned and unusual clearance from ATC which was a mental distraction and cost the crew about 15 extra mins to sort out. The hold short line was clearly marked, but pilot did not see it, in part due to distraction and it not being where he expected it to be. Lesson learned for me was: crew must deliberately take time in unusual situation, even when passenger are eager to go home. Note: due to the late hour, there were no other aircraft operating on or near det airport at that time.
