Narrative:

I was on an aerial survey flight and inadvertently entered ADIZ on flight from ZZZ to base at ZZZ1. Was intercepted by 2 F16's. Was in warning area at time and was not sure if they were just checking me out or trying to get me to land. Was monitoring 121.5 at time. No communication from F16's. I tried multiple times to call on 121.5 only answer was from an FBO. Tried multiple frequencys listed on sectional. No joy. Finally called ZZZ4 tower and reached ZZZ5 AFB. Was instructed to land at ZZZ6 and await us customs. Customs arrived check us out, with an ok. Inspector stated that I had 'technically' done nothing wrong 'yet' because I had not re-entered ADIZ when intercepted. Re-entered only after I was intercepted. I was flagged because I was not communicating with ATC. Why did this occur? I was stupid, long flight, no breakfast, no lunch, back hurt, in a hurry to get home. Didn't notice ADIZ (not familiar with flying in that area). Was navigating on the fly and too lazy to get flight following. Next time, eat, rest, plan better and do not rely on GPS for primary navigation (does not show ADIZ boundary). As a final note, after reviewing intercept procedures, F16's did not use standard intercept procedures. Never made communication with them until downwind at aaf. This led to some initial confusion on my part until I was talking to ZZZ5 ATC.

Title: AN SMT PLT WAS INTERCEPTED BY MIL ACFT FOR VIOLATING A WARNING AREA AND NOT COMMUNICATING WITH ATC.

Narrative: I WAS ON AN AERIAL SURVEY FLT AND INADVERTENTLY ENTERED ADIZ ON FLT FROM ZZZ TO BASE AT ZZZ1. WAS INTERCEPTED BY 2 F16'S. WAS IN WARNING AREA AT TIME AND WAS NOT SURE IF THEY WERE JUST CHKING ME OUT OR TRYING TO GET ME TO LAND. WAS MONITORING 121.5 AT TIME. NO COM FROM F16'S. I TRIED MULTIPLE TIMES TO CALL ON 121.5 ONLY ANSWER WAS FROM AN FBO. TRIED MULTIPLE FREQS LISTED ON SECTIONAL. NO JOY. FINALLY CALLED ZZZ4 TWR AND REACHED ZZZ5 AFB. WAS INSTRUCTED TO LAND AT ZZZ6 AND AWAIT US CUSTOMS. CUSTOMS ARRIVED CHK US OUT, WITH AN OK. I WAS STUPID, LONG FLT, NO BREAKFAST, NO LUNCH, BACK HURT, IN A HURRY TO GET HOME. DIDN'T NOTICE ADIZ (NOT FAMILIAR WITH FLYING IN THAT AREA). WAS NAVIGATING ON THE FLY AND TOO LAZY TO GET FLT FOLLOWING. NEXT TIME, EAT, REST, PLAN BETTER AND DO NOT RELY ON GPS FOR PRIMARY NAV (DOES NOT SHOW ADIZ BOUNDARY). AS A FINAL NOTE, AFTER REVIEWING INTERCEPT PROCS, F16'S DID NOT USE STANDARD INTERCEPT PROCS. NEVER MADE COM WITH THEM UNTIL DOWNWIND AT AAF. THIS LED TO SOME INITIAL CONFUSION ON MY PART UNTIL I WAS TALKING TO ZZZ5 ATC.
