Narrative:

We arrived at the airplane in ZZZ1, and maintenance was working on the log entry of 'spoiler deployed light' illuminated at the selection of 40 degree flaps. Maintenance changed the bite computer and rtned it to service. At ZZZ2 I elected to land with 28 degree flaps just to preclude any potential problems that might have happened. Approach and landing were normal. Having kept the same airplane back to ZZZ1 I decided that, since it was a termination flight, I would select 40 degree flaps just to see if the 'spoiler deployed light' would illuminate. And it did. We followed the 'spoiler float' checklist and landed with flaps 28 degrees. No abnormal flight control characteristics were felt or heard. Wrote the discrepancy up in the logbook as a repeat item.
