Narrative:

Last leg of 3 day trip. This was first trip with new call sign after 13 years and new disp and flight plan paperwork format. On approaching departure end of runway 12R at msp switched to tower. Advise ready for departure as taxiing toward end of taxiway. When I released the microphone button, I was about 200 ft from hold short line, I had partially blocked tower and heard, 'position and hold runway 12R,' I retransmission 'position and hold runway 12R for our flight.' that was also blocked partially by some one else. Then I reconfigured position and hold and was told that it was for another aircraft and was told to hold short. I stopped the aircraft. It looked like I had just passed the line by 5 to 10 ft. It was night. I saw no other aircraft. We were the #1 aircraft on taxiway. I finally saw the other aircraft. He was on the other side of the runway at an intersection we had passed. No lights that I could see. There were no aircraft on approach. After the other aircraft takeoff, I was cleared onto the runway. There was no more said. Contributing factors: last leg of a 3 day trip with totally new procedures we were looking fwd to getting this over with. The trip was probably the most stressful since my initial checkout 13 years ago. New company, new procedures with only a 8 hour classroom instruction on paperwork and computer usage. The rest of the training was by paper bulletin couple this with fatigue and I am sure this was part of the problem.

ADVISE READY FOR DEP AS TAXIING TOWARD END OF TXWY. NEW COMPANY, NEW PROCS WITH ONLY A 8 HR CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION ON PAPERWORK AND COMPUTER USAGE. THE REST OF THE TRAINING WAS BY PAPER BULLETIN COUPLE THIS WITH FATIGUE AND I AM SURE THIS WAS PART OF THE PROB.
