Narrative:

En route from cincinnati area to M88. Clear afternoon so proceeded VFR for 1 1/2 hour flight. GPS onboard clearly marked destination. I had never flown to this area before. Was not using flight following. Got visual on airport slightly left of GPS track. Saw runway lights 5-7 mi out. Realized 1/2 mi from end of runway I was landing bna. Continued approach and called approach controller then tower who vectored me to M88. May have caused commercial jet to go around. Prevention: use flight following or file IFR, especially when going into an unfamiliar airport.
