Narrative:

After run-up at tie-down area, had my instrument student call ground for taxi instruction. Preflight and checklist done so we taxied up to hold short line and switched to tower frequency. Before we could call 'ready' a C172 off to the left of us in the run-up area for runway 27 called tower and said they were ready. The tower told them to position and hold. I quickly called tower and said we were #1 and ready. The controller told them to taxi around me and position and hold. The dope in the other aircraft almost hit my propeller. I keyed the microphone and said, 'you almost hit my propeller.' the tower told them 'next time don't call ready until you are at the hold short line' or something to that effect. Tower should have had their eyes open and not told them to attempt to taxi around me, and the other aircraft should have opened their mouth and said 'there isn't any room.' I had no place to move to avoid this moron and they almost hit me.

Title: THE #2 ACFT IN LINE WAITING FOR TKOF IS CLRED AROUND THE #1 ACFT WITHOUT ADEQUATE ROOM. A PROP AND A WINGTIP COME TOO CLOSE TOGETHER.

Narrative: AFTER RUN-UP AT TIE-DOWN AREA, HAD MY INST STUDENT CALL GND FOR TAXI INSTRUCTION. PREFLT AND CHKLIST DONE SO WE TAXIED UP TO HOLD SHORT LINE AND SWITCHED TO TWR FREQ. BEFORE WE COULD CALL 'READY' A C172 OFF TO THE L OF US IN THE RUN-UP AREA FOR RWY 27 CALLED TWR AND SAID THEY WERE READY. THE TWR TOLD THEM TO POS AND HOLD. I QUICKLY CALLED TWR AND SAID WE WERE #1 AND READY. THE CTLR TOLD THEM TO TAXI AROUND ME AND POS AND HOLD. THE DOPE IN THE OTHER ACFT ALMOST HIT MY PROP. I KEYED THE MIKE AND SAID, 'YOU ALMOST HIT MY PROP.' THE TWR TOLD THEM 'NEXT TIME DON'T CALL READY UNTIL YOU ARE AT THE HOLD SHORT LINE' OR SOMETHING TO THAT EFFECT. TWR SHOULD HAVE HAD THEIR EYES OPEN AND NOT TOLD THEM TO ATTEMPT TO TAXI AROUND ME, AND THE OTHER ACFT SHOULD HAVE OPENED THEIR MOUTH AND SAID 'THERE ISN'T ANY ROOM.' I HAD NO PLACE TO MOVE TO AVOID THIS MORON AND THEY ALMOST HIT ME.
