Narrative:

One fastener was missing from a fairing on top of the right engine pylon. The fastener was deferred per the srm and the aircraft departed. After discussing the deferral with our engineering department it was determined this srm reference did not cover this panel so the aircraft was stopped at the next station and engineering issued an authority/authorized to operate with the fastener missing for 2 days until the aircraft could stay overnight at a maintenance station.
