Narrative:

After pushback from gate at msp, baggage handler showed up at aircraft with bags and proceeded to open cargo hold in front of #2 engine running. He did not ask tug driver if it was okay to do this, nor did we know of door opening until too late. He luckily got bags into cargo without aircraft #2 engine sucking him in. We pulled back in to gate to verify security of bags. Ground supervisor is writing an incident report on this and I believe the individual is being retrained to get clearance into cargo hold with an engine running.
