Narrative:

Departed bdr on IFR flight plan (in VFR conditions). Standard clearance is bridgehaven 5 to an intersection. The SID is radar vectors and an altitude restr. Prior to being given a vector I simply headed for the fix before being authorized to do so. I believe I was overly concerned by the events of sep/tue/01, and the subsequent airspace restr, when I neglected to follow my clearance.
