Narrative:

I was east of runway 19L on taxiway J and thought I was cleared to hold in position on runway 19R. I crossed runway 19L and was proceeding on taxiway J to runway 19R when the controller told me to cross runway 19R without delay and hold on taxiway J west of runway 19R. He then told me I had been cleared to hold on runway 19L at taxiway J. If there was not an incursion it was only due to the controller's catching my error in time. I don't know if I read back runway 19L or runway 19R but I was thinking runway 19R. I blew the clearance. These are not meant to be excuses. I think I assumed runway 19R because 1) my IFR departure clearance called for a right turn immediately after takeoff, and 2) another aircraft was holding on runway 19L at taxiway J.

Title: RWY 19L AT SNA, CA, IS CROSSED WITH THE INTENT OF HOLDING IN POS ON RWY 19R WHEN THE CLRNC WAS ACTUALLY TO HOLD ON RWY 19L.

Narrative: I WAS E OF RWY 19L ON TXWY J AND THOUGHT I WAS CLRED TO HOLD IN POS ON RWY 19R. I CROSSED RWY 19L AND WAS PROCEEDING ON TXWY J TO RWY 19R WHEN THE CTLR TOLD ME TO CROSS RWY 19R WITHOUT DELAY AND HOLD ON TXWY J W OF RWY 19R. HE THEN TOLD ME I HAD BEEN CLRED TO HOLD ON RWY 19L AT TXWY J. IF THERE WAS NOT AN INCURSION IT WAS ONLY DUE TO THE CTLR'S CATCHING MY ERROR IN TIME. I DON'T KNOW IF I READ BACK RWY 19L OR RWY 19R BUT I WAS THINKING RWY 19R. I BLEW THE CLRNC. THESE ARE NOT MEANT TO BE EXCUSES. I THINK I ASSUMED RWY 19R BECAUSE 1) MY IFR DEP CLRNC CALLED FOR A R TURN IMMEDIATELY AFTER TKOF, AND 2) ANOTHER ACFT WAS HOLDING ON RWY 19L AT TXWY J.
