Narrative:

On early evening of sep/mon/01 went on short VFR flight in my local area to practice basic airwork, unaware of VFR flight restrs. Did not call FSS for briefing as WX was cavu and had heard on news that GA was flying again. Learned of transgression when ZID called ground personnel who relayed message to me on CTAF. Was monitoring ZID when not in local area but got no call. Transponder was operating at all times. I called ZID on landing. Should have gotten briefing before flight.

Narrative: ON EARLY EVENING OF SEP/MON/01 WENT ON SHORT VFR FLT IN MY LCL AREA TO PRACTICE BASIC AIRWORK, UNAWARE OF VFR FLT RESTRS.
