Narrative:

Flight departed cdg at XB53 for jfk. About 30 min into flight, flight attendant informed us there were sparks coming from the overhead in main cabin. It was confirmed by the relief pilot and passengers. We elected to divert to lhr. Ran approach checklists declared an emergency, dumped fuel, and made an uneventful overweight landing at lhr.
