Narrative:

After landing and clear of active runways, was cleared to taxi to gate by los angeles ground control. Contacted ramp controller, was advised that we could enter the alley, but that we may want to contact operations for a tow into the gate if need be, due to a fuel spill clean-up operation on the air carrier Y ramp. We remained well clear of the clean-up operation and on the centerline of the alley and were marshaled on to the gate by ground crews. We were never advised not to enter the alleyway by either los angeles ground control or ramp control. Only advised to use caution in parking the airplane. We did use caution in parking the airplane. Was told after parking that ramp controllers objected to us parking the airplane under power.
