Narrative:

We briefed the departure as this is what we expected. We noted, and previous experience dictated, this departure due to unable to make climb restr in later part of departure (above FL250). When clearance was received, the clearance was for departure procedure. We also briefed that if given a different departure procedure, we would request the original departure procedure as was noted on SID page for unable climb restr. After clearance was received, we failed to request departure procedure even though all in cockpit heard clearance readback. To prevent recurrence, brief departure off of and xref notes made while copying clearance. Departure control remarked of our incorrect route.
