Narrative:

Air carrier X airline changed its procedures for airworthiness release authority/authorized. In a period of 1 month, 3 separate classes were required. Each was a knee jerk reaction to an improper logbook sign-off. It is not written in 1 manual what training codes are required to be authority/authorized to sign the airworthiness release. This led me to having just 2 of the required 3 training classes. The training I did not receive was a 1 hour class on how to audit a 2 page form that verified that the overnight work package was audited. I signed airworthiness release on aircraft from jun of 2000 through aug 2001 without being properly authority/authorized.
