Narrative:

While at cruise at FL410, proceeding direct to joses intersection, ZMA gave us a right turn for traffic spacing at our altitude. He then gave us 2 additional headings to the right. We received a TCASII TA during the turn and had the other aircraft in sight. Spacing was approximately 3-4 mi. We were told to call ZMA after landing. Upon return to atlanta today, we were informed it was 'controller error.
