We descended to 3760 ft to avoid single engine cessna traffic which was less than 1 mi and around 300 ft above and converging. This came with no TA from center. Supplemental information from acn 520957: no advisory from ATC until we asked if traffic in area. He replied traffic 1 mi and 4400 ft.
