Density altitude 1700 ft 28 degree C. Airport 237 ft MSL. 5500 ft runway. Instructor with student practicing a go around. C172 developing 2200 RPM's fully throttled. Full flaps. No evident climb. Seat rails on instructor side, disengaged and slid back. Aircraft lost lift, veered toward runway edge light. Light was hit, small knick in blade of propeller. No injuries. Minor damage to light. Seat RAIL disengaging, high density altitude, full flaps go around contributed to damage.

Title: C172 INSTRUCTOR AND TRAINEE WERE ATTEMPTING A GAR WITH FULL FLAPS. THE INSTRUCTOR'S SEAT TRACK LOCK BECAME DISENGAGED AND THE INSTRUCTOR WAS UNABLE TO CTL THE ACFT.
