Narrative:

Location: runway 27 localizer 15 mi east, approach descending from 6000 ft to 3000 ft cleared for ILS runway 27 -- first officer leg. Passing through 4000 ft aft galley door light illuminated and aircraft rapidly depressurized. I dispatched flight attendant to check actual position of door and was informed that it was closed, but that he could hear the loud sound of air rushing out around door. Passing 2000 ft, light extinguished, and judging from the pressure bump the door resealed. Landing was uneventful. Situation was explained to the passenger while waiting for ground marshallers at gate. As passenger exited no one made comment nor complained regarding any discomfort. Aircraft was taken OTS.
