Narrative:

After I completed the check, the FAA inspected the aircraft and found some material pulling up from the #1 engine cold stream acoustical lining. I told them that there could be 18 square ft of the material missing. They asked for a reference and I told them it would take a while. They told me to facsimile it to them. I removed the material that was in question but did not make a logbook entry.
