Narrative:

F900 jet on rokit arrival to hou instructed to turn right to 300 degrees at drxlr intersection. Flight director made the turn almost 5 mi early. This resulted in a nose-to-nose situation with arrs at iah. FMS type aircraft make this turn early several times per day. This was a very close call. The situation is complicated by the fact that both aircraft in these locations are being frequency changed to final control.

Title: I90 CTLR CONCERNED WITH FMS PERFORMANCE OF FOKKER 900 MODEL. CTLR ALLEGES THAT FMS SOFTWARE DIRECTS ACFT TO 'TURN EARLY.'

Narrative: F900 JET ON ROKIT ARR TO HOU INSTRUCTED TO TURN R TO 300 DEGS AT DRXLR INTXN. FLT DIRECTOR MADE THE TURN ALMOST 5 MI EARLY. THIS RESULTED IN A NOSE-TO-NOSE SIT WITH ARRS AT IAH. FMS TYPE ACFT MAKE THIS TURN EARLY SEVERAL TIMES PER DAY. THIS WAS A VERY CLOSE CALL. THE SIT IS COMPLICATED BY THE FACT THAT BOTH ACFT IN THESE LOCATIONS ARE BEING FREQ CHANGED TO FINAL CTL.
