Narrative:

During takeoff, sju, departing runway 8, the aircraft started to fill rapidly with smoke. This occurred at about V1, which was 120 KTS. Continued takeoff, put on oxygen masks, copilot turned packs off. Went into QRH and followed appropriate procedures, smoke dissipated. Declared emergency, returned to sju, completed necessary checklists and landed on runway 8. Total time in air 8 mins. Returned to gate and offloaded passenger.
