Narrative:

Air carrier X slc-lax descending to FL180, approaching civet, received clearance for the civet 4 arrival, maintain 310 KTS or better. Crossed civet between 14000 ft and 17000 ft, crossing bremer above 12000 ft. Continued to descend to reach arnes above 10000 ft and below 11000 ft. At that time, was asked to reduce speed to 250 KTS. Extended speed brakes to slow down. Upon reaching 250 KTS, started to retract speed brakes. PNF indicated we were approaching arnes and needed to descend. We extended the speed brakes and lowered the nose of the aircraft in an attempt to meet the altitude restr at arnes. I believe I might have crossed arnes slightly above 11000 ft.

Title: B727-200 CREW DID NOT MAKE AN ATC XING RESTR AFTER AN ATC ISSUED SPD REDUCTION ON THE CIVET 4 STAR INTO LAX.

Narrative: ACR X SLC-LAX DSNDING TO FL180, APCHING CIVET, RECEIVED CLRNC FOR THE CIVET 4 ARR, MAINTAIN 310 KTS OR BETTER. CROSSED CIVET BTWN 14000 FT AND 17000 FT, CROSSING BREMER ABOVE 12000 FT. CONTINUED TO DSND TO REACH ARNES ABOVE 10000 FT AND BELOW 11000 FT. AT THAT TIME, WAS ASKED TO REDUCE SPD TO 250 KTS. EXTENDED SPD BRAKES TO SLOW DOWN. UPON REACHING 250 KTS, STARTED TO RETRACT SPD BRAKES. PNF INDICATED WE WERE APCHING ARNES AND NEEDED TO DSND. WE EXTENDED THE SPD BRAKES AND LOWERED THE NOSE OF THE ACFT IN AN ATTEMPT TO MEET THE ALT RESTR AT ARNES. I BELIEVE I MIGHT HAVE CROSSED ARNES SLIGHTLY ABOVE 11000 FT.
