Narrative:

Cruising at 1500 ft MSL (1400 ft AGL), sudden loss of power from 2400 RPM to 1900 RPM. Corrective actions unsuccessful (mixture/rich, carburetor heat on, magneto check, fuel on). Aircraft began descent at 200 FPM. Selected a cow pasture and landed, upwind. Partial contact with barbed-wire fence. No injuries or aircraft damage. Sheriff helicopter and automatic on scene within 10 mins.

Title: C150 PLT MADE AN EMER OFF ARPT LNDG IN AN OPEN FIELD AFTER THE ENG LOST SUFFICIENT PWR TO MAKE IT TO THE ARPT 10 MI AWAY. THE ACFT WAS NOT DAMAGED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO THE OCCUPANTS.
