Narrative:
Had power decline intermittency at 6500 ft leading to engine shutdown in about 30 seconds. Started emergency procedures. When I tried to restart engine, switched from tank #1 to tank #2. Power restored. This is per manual, for aircraft. I lost a few hundred ft elevation before restoring power. I will modify emergency procedure for this aircraft to switch tanks first, then the power outage would have lasted 2 seconds.
