Narrative:

Relying on bad advice, and failing to check my chart, I was informed that this was an uncontrolled field. I checked with the FBO and was told unicom was 122.95. Since the aircraft had no operable radio, but did have a transponder, I proceeded to taxi out after yielding to an aircraft. Perhaps a sign with ground frequency on the FBO might avert the unintentional but dumb thing I did. Also, training never to rely on someone else's advice without a back-up.
