Narrative:
I was flying an old tail dragger, navigating by handheld GPS, when I entered class D airspace to land, without knowing that a tower had been added to the field since I last landed at this location. I had the current sectional, but failed to refer to it since the handheld GPS had always (in the past) shown airspace boundaries to include class D airspace. In this situation, the database was out of date. I did not realize I was in controled airspace until tupelo tower called me on the radio. I have ordered a new database. This was totally my fault. I was too casual about the area, which was not familiar to me. I should have used the sectional as primary, and GPS as secondary.
