Narrative:

After the first 2 legs of a 3-DAY trip, we arrived at mdw and were told that we had a call from scheduling. I was told that I would be rerouted off my original pairing and the first officer was to stay on the original sequence, but that he would have an unscheduled aircraft change. We each made preparation to follow our new instructions. As I was to remain on the same aircraft, I began looking for my new first officer. Due to a gate change, he was at the wrong gate and it took several mins to locate him. The following day, I rejoined my original sequence and was told by the original first officer that we had not entered our first 2 legs in the logbook. We contacted dispatch, then scheduling, and they made arrangements to have the information entered. The first officer stated that due to en route WX, he did not fill out the logbook en route, and had planned to do so at mdw. Once arriving at mdw, the aircraft change became foremost in his mind, and he failed to do it at that time. I did not notice en route that we hadn't filled it out and was similarly distraction on the ground during the change. In the future, I will ensure that the book is completed even during hectic times.

Title: ACR CAPT IS ADVISED 2 DAYS LATER BY FO THAT LOGBOOKS WERE NOT COMPLETED.

Narrative: AFTER THE FIRST 2 LEGS OF A 3-DAY TRIP, WE ARRIVED AT MDW AND WERE TOLD THAT WE HAD A CALL FROM SCHEDULING. I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD BE REROUTED OFF MY ORIGINAL PAIRING AND THE FO WAS TO STAY ON THE ORIGINAL SEQUENCE, BUT THAT HE WOULD HAVE AN UNSCHEDULED ACFT CHANGE. WE EACH MADE PREPARATION TO FOLLOW OUR NEW INSTRUCTIONS. AS I WAS TO REMAIN ON THE SAME ACFT, I BEGAN LOOKING FOR MY NEW FO. DUE TO A GATE CHANGE, HE WAS AT THE WRONG GATE AND IT TOOK SEVERAL MINS TO LOCATE HIM. THE FOLLOWING DAY, I REJOINED MY ORIGINAL SEQUENCE AND WAS TOLD BY THE ORIGINAL FO THAT WE HAD NOT ENTERED OUR FIRST 2 LEGS IN THE LOGBOOK. WE CONTACTED DISPATCH, THEN SCHEDULING, AND THEY MADE ARRANGEMENTS TO HAVE THE INFO ENTERED. THE FO STATED THAT DUE TO ENRTE WX, HE DID NOT FILL OUT THE LOGBOOK ENRTE, AND HAD PLANNED TO DO SO AT MDW. ONCE ARRIVING AT MDW, THE ACFT CHANGE BECAME FOREMOST IN HIS MIND, AND HE FAILED TO DO IT AT THAT TIME. I DID NOT NOTICE ENRTE THAT WE HADN'T FILLED IT OUT AND WAS SIMILARLY DISTR ON THE GND DURING THE CHANGE. IN THE FUTURE, I WILL ENSURE THAT THE BOOK IS COMPLETED EVEN DURING HECTIC TIMES.
