Narrative:

After landing in aus on flight air carrier Y from atl, I was examining fuel on board for flight to dfw. I then discovered we had landed overweight by 300 pounds. He said in-flight fuel gauges read 22000 pounds. At gate, read 22400 pounds, and fueler put fuel on board at 23000 pounds. Landing card was for 153500 pounds when actual was at 154800 pounds. Contract maintenance and flight control were notified and a logbook write-up was made. Overweight landing inspection was made and flight proceeded on schedule.

Title: A B727-200 FLT CREW LANDS OVERWT DUE TO A DISCREPANCY IN THE FUEL QUANTITY.

Narrative: AFTER LNDG IN AUS ON FLT ACR Y FROM ATL, I WAS EXAMINING FUEL ON BOARD FOR FLT TO DFW. I THEN DISCOVERED WE HAD LANDED OVERWT BY 300 LBS. HE SAID INFLT FUEL GAUGES READ 22000 LBS.
