Narrative:

Missed altitude crossing restr. During cruise, captain entered crossing restr of 11000 ft at twinz intersection on the eau 4 arrival into msp. We were later cleared to twinz intersection and, even though not yet cleared to cross twinz at 11000 ft, I confirmed it was entered into the FMC. Soon thereafter, for spacing into msp, we were cleared back to the eau VOR and to resume the eau 4 arrival. The captain reselected the eau 4 STAR into the FMC, which I confirmed. However, we did not re-enter the crossing restr at twinz. When we were later given the restr to cross twinz at 11000 ft, I did not confirm the altitude in the FMC. The FMC determined its top of descent path using the next altitude in the FMC which was a point just outside the FAF for runway 30R. I did not realize this until we were told to contact msp approach at 4 DME prior to twinz. At that time we were descending through FL180. I advised the captain of my error and he advised msp approach that we would not be able to make twinz at 11000 ft. ATC said 'I can see that, maintain 7000 ft and 250 KIAS.' we received that clearance about 2 mi prior to twinz. Next time, I'll be sure to verify the crossing restr with the FMC -- especially when reselecting a new STAR.

Title: B757 FLT CREW FAILS TO MEET THE XING RESTR DURING APCH INTO MSP.

Narrative: MISSED ALT XING RESTR. DURING CRUISE, CAPT ENTERED XING RESTR OF 11000 FT AT TWINZ INTXN ON THE EAU 4 ARR INTO MSP. WE WERE LATER CLRED TO TWINZ INTXN AND, EVEN THOUGH NOT YET CLRED TO CROSS TWINZ AT 11000 FT, I CONFIRMED IT WAS ENTERED INTO THE FMC. SOON THEREAFTER, FOR SPACING INTO MSP, WE WERE CLRED BACK TO THE EAU VOR AND TO RESUME THE EAU 4 ARR. THE CAPT RESELECTED THE EAU 4 STAR INTO THE FMC, WHICH I CONFIRMED. HOWEVER, WE DID NOT RE-ENTER THE XING RESTR AT TWINZ. WHEN WE WERE LATER GIVEN THE RESTR TO CROSS TWINZ AT 11000 FT, I DID NOT CONFIRM THE ALT IN THE FMC. THE FMC DETERMINED ITS TOP OF DSCNT PATH USING THE NEXT ALT IN THE FMC WHICH WAS A POINT JUST OUTSIDE THE FAF FOR RWY 30R. I DID NOT REALIZE THIS UNTIL WE WERE TOLD TO CONTACT MSP APCH AT 4 DME PRIOR TO TWINZ. AT THAT TIME WE WERE DSNDING THROUGH FL180. I ADVISED THE CAPT OF MY ERROR AND HE ADVISED MSP APCH THAT WE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE TWINZ AT 11000 FT. ATC SAID 'I CAN SEE THAT, MAINTAIN 7000 FT AND 250 KIAS.' WE RECEIVED THAT CLRNC ABOUT 2 MI PRIOR TO TWINZ. NEXT TIME, I'LL BE SURE TO VERIFY THE XING RESTR WITH THE FMC -- ESPECIALLY WHEN RESELECTING A NEW STAR.
