Narrative:

Lax ATIS XA50 240 degrees 10 mi, 10 SM clear, 18/13 altimeter 29.94 simultaneous ILS approachs in progress to runways 24R and 25L, and parallel localizer approachs are in progress between lax and hhr airports. Radar vectors to visual runway 25R lax. Socal told us to report an airbus on visual runway 25L lax in sight. Called traffic in sight. Socal cleared us a visual approach to runway 25R...pull up to airbus, do not pass.' we flew staggered approach to the airbus. Socal especially on south complex 125.9 seems to use this nonstandard back-door clearance for formation flight to increase capacity. It is a clearance for formation without the consent of both PIC's or briefings, clrncs if both aircraft are forced to go around, wake turbulence separation, etc.
