Narrative:

Flight from mesquite, nv, to henderson, nv. Altitude 5500 ft. Location 20 NM northeast of henderson executive airport, at the western tip of lake mead. While in level flight, I heard a 'pop' in my headset and noted that my volt meter and ammeter read zero. I shut down all non essential electrical components after checking circuit breakers and the master switch. Continued to fly southwest past boulder city, then west and finally north into henderson executive airport. I notified the tower at henderson of my problem and requested a straight-in approach to runway 36. The controller approved the approach and told me he'd control me with light if I lost radio. Gear extended without a problem and locked. I radioed the tower that gear was down and locked, and that I was on the way in. I landed without incident and taxied directly to maintenance. The voltage regulator and over voltage relay were replaced.
