Narrative:

Due to choppy ride at FL310, we requested a descent. ZJX cleared us to descend to FL270. At FL295, ZJX called us and said he mistakenly gave us that descent 'confused us with another aircraft' and told us to 'maintain FL310,' then subsequently cleared us back down to FL280. No traffic separation problems existed -- just a communications mistake.
