Narrative:
I tried to contact ral tower and did not get a response. After several tries, I broadcast to 'riverside traffic.' after clearing ral, I called cno tower and got an immediate response. I don't know what was wrong. I rechked the tower frequency and found it was correct. When I departed cno about 1 hour later, I called ral tower and got an immediate response. I don't know why they did not respond to my radio. As I heard cno clearly a few seconds later, I don't think it was my radio.
